privacy
what we know about you (very little), and what we do with it (very little). last updated 19 july 2026.
the short version
- · you do not need an email, a real name, or an age to join. we never ask.
- · passwords are scrambled so hard that even we cannot read them.
- · no adverts, no trackers, no analytics, no selling anything to anyone.
- · payments happen on paypal. we never see card numbers.
- · want your account gone? say so and it is gone.
what we actually keep
your account: your username (made up by you), your scrambled password, your profile picture (a cat you picked, a drawing you made, or a picture you uploaded), your favourites, and any shows or games you said you were into. that last part only ever shows on your own profile.
your purchases: which pieces you bought and what you paid, so your downloads live on your account. paypal handles the payment and may share the email on your paypal account with us, which we keep with the order in case something needs fixing.
your reviews: the stars, words and photos you send in. a grown-up checks every review before it appears on the site.
boring technical stuff: our server keeps standard logs (like the internet address your device used) for keeping the site safe and working. they are not used for anything else and get cleared out routinely.
paying for things
payments are handled by paypal, who process payments for a large chunk of the internet. your card or paypal details go to them, never to us. if you are not a grown-up, please get one before buying anything - that is the rule.
about young visitors
this shop was built so you never have to hand over personal information: no email, no real name, no age, no photos of you. profile pictures should be drawings, not faces. everything visitors can post (reviews and photos) is checked by a grown-up before it appears. if you are a parent with a question, or you would like anything removed, get in touch below and it will be sorted.
your rights
it is your stuff. you can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted - just ask, and it will be done within a few days. if you are in the uk and ever felt we handled your information badly, you can also complain to the ico, the uk's data watchdog.
who runs this + contact
sillycat.shop is a small family-run shop in england: the art is by the sillycat, and a grown-up runs the machinery, the payments and this policy. questions, requests, deletions: sillyaliencatshop@gmail.com.
